Komen and gaan
Komen en gaan, to come and to go: it seems simple, but what word do we use when we are not in the same place and call each other? And what is the difference between “naar huis gaan” and “thuis komen”?
Komen

---|---|---|
ik | kom | kwam |
jij, hij, zij, u | komt | kwam |
wij, jullie, zij | komen | kwamen |
ik ben gekomen |
Gaan

Which perspective do we use...
...if we are not in the same place?
We use the perspective of the person who is already at the place we are going to.
So that also applies to the destination of angry wasps ...
Naar huis gaan en thuis komen
Ze gaat naar huis.
Ze komt thuis.
